About this tool
Large PDFs are often rejected by email and application forms. This tool turns each page into a compressed picture, which can cut the size a lot for scans and photos. The text in the result can no longer be selected, so keep your original file. Everything is done in your browser.
How to use it
- Choose your PDF.
- Pick Light, Medium or Strong compression.
- Press Compress PDF and wait for each page to finish.
- Check the new size and press Download.
Questions
Why did my PDF not get smaller?
A PDF that is mostly text is already small. Turning it into pictures can make it bigger, so keep the original in that case.
Can I still select the text afterwards?
No. Pages become pictures, so the text is not searchable or selectable.
Which level should I use?
Start with Medium. Use Strong if the file is still too big, or Light if the pages look blurry.
